grandparents,
parents,
aunts uncles n ancles,
family
relatives
here and onward
and back
over and over they remind me as
any forms of matter they come as and for . . .
they remind me/us,
"your memories from us . . .
where we go/gone
to/from
are seeds:
star seeds
earth seeds
life seeds .
they
don't disappear
we go on ❤

Song jam inspo - VELVET BLUE, by Ray Lozano WE FOUND LOVE, by Lizzie Berchie FlAWS & ALL, by Lizzie Berchie
ancestral shoulder taps . . .
i rest in the water, where i feel at peace most of the time. i hear starry songs coming from my phone, feeling our galaxy and all of space dance around. water washes down my face, head, and back through to my feet and beyond. we are one giant movement, together. and i hear my mom's voice. my siblings. my dad's. my grandparent's. family's. my relatives. can see their voices, their spirits, moving. like currents of interstellar medium.
i see an uncle of a loved one, speaking with words that reflect my great grandparents and so many others within this space. ones who traveled far in their lifetime to be here by them/me. with them/me. of them/me. to pass this along.
they say to the loved one, as one and the same with my ancestor's, "these memories you have of our homes, our cultures and lives -- these memories we talk about -- they're like seeds.... star seeds. earth seeds. life seeds."
"they're where you're from too."
you carry them
